When converting to digital impressions some natural concerns arise: Will the crowns fit and function as well as with conventional impressions? Will they cost more? How will I find a lab that is expert in digital technology? How will I cover the costs associated? Do I still need models or can I go model-free? What if something goes wrong, will I have support and assistance?
At Team Solutions Dental we understand these kinds of questions. We faced these challenges when we integrated the latest technologies into our state of the art laboratory. We utilize digital technologies to fabricate every restoration, and we would like to share our answers to these questions:
We have found that the digital workflow increases accuracy. We employ highly skilled technicians using artistry and design knowledge, and the computers and digital machines are more accurate and consistent at the production steps.
Because of the technology we are actually able to charge less than we would have 3 or 5 years ago. We realize that you have to take on a financial burden to convert to digital, and all new digital customers are placed on our ‘preferred’ fee schedule, an average savings of 10% off our base fees, to help offset the costs of data plans or your new equipment. (Additional discounts apply based upon volume)
Team Solutions Dental uses digital manufacturing for every case we make. We embraced the new technologies and use them all day, every day. You will not find a lab more fully immersed in these technologies.
For single unit monolithic (FCZ or EZ) cases we can absolutely provide model-less restorations (and save you additional cost and time). However, for the first few cases we need to utilize a model to verify the settings and calibration from your system to ours. Therefore we will have a digitally manufactured model produced from your scan for each case while we ‘dial in’ your settings to ensure you will not have excess adjustment chair-side when you go model free. The digital models cost slightly more per case but will only be required until we have reduced/eliminated your intraoral adjustment. Our clients tell us the small extra charge for verification is well worth the savings in chair time and patient stress.
Team Solutions Dental is built upon a foundation of service. We are here for you, to make things easier, to ensure you get what you need. We work very closely with the manufacturers of these systems to ensure the result is successful. If you cannot solve a problem we will help.
When you go into a new frontier one of the most important things to have is a guide, someone who knows the landscape. Team Solutions dental stands ready to assist you and be that guide!
